ABOUT

The Ribotsky Institute (TRI) is an independent think tank committed to examining the political, cultural, and economic forces shaping the American landscape. Its mission is to offer clarity in a moment when truth and perspective often feel negotiable; creating space for ideas that challenge assumptions and confront the narratives shaping public life.

Founded over a decade ago by Corey Ribotsky, the Ribotsky Institute emerged from a belief that serious analysis should keep pace with the times and that everyday people should understand the policy and decisions that shape their lives. The Ribotsky Institute has evolved over the years, with the country itself expanding its focus to include culture, media, and the

As public discourse grows louder and less thoughtful, The Ribotsky Institute remains grounded in a simple goal, examining where America stands, how we got here, and where we may be headed next, rooted in the belief, that the truth still matters, even in a world that often acts as if it doesn’t.

Alongside their editorial work, Corey and Skylar Ribotsky are expanding the Institute’s reach through new media projects, including “Dad, Did We Just Break America?”, a forthcoming podcast that they will co-host.

Corey Ribotsky has more than 25-years of experience in the investment industry, with a background in managing alternative investment vehicles and leading businesses across multiple sectors. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook before attending NYU Stern Graduate School of Business and Brooklyn Law School.

When Corey founded The Ribotsky Institute over a decade ago, he described the country as being, “in a very precarious time,” and he hoped to provide Americans with, “insight and ideas into economic growth, access to financial resources, and entrepreneurial opportunities.” His goal was to use his understanding of business and markets to help people see how these forces shape our nation’s policy, politics, and overall direction.

Through both his professional background and the years he has spent writing for and guiding The Ribotsky Institute, Corey has developed a rare perspective on the intersection of markets, politics, and culture. His work continues to reflect the same guiding beliefs that inspired him to start the Institute all those years ago, but his vision and understanding of the current moment allows the Institute to continue to grow.

A veteran political strategist, Rafe Lieber has advised campaigns and policymakers across New York and beyond. His experience in the mechanics of government and messaging has provided The Ribotsky Institute with valuable insight into how ideas move from conversation to policy; and how politics reflects, rather than leads, public sentiment.

Skylar Ribotsky began writing for The Ribotsky Institute after the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Watching the coverage, she noticed that while everyone was talking about her generation, few were actually talking to it. The voices that made it on air often reflected the politics of the people doing the interviewing, not the full reality of what students were feeling or asking for. That moment changed how she thought about journalism and shaped the work she does today.

Skylar writes and edits stories for the Institute and stays relentlessly engaged with the news, digging deeper than the headlines to understand what’s actually driving them. Her work focuses on how narratives form, how people absorb them, and what those patterns reveal about the country’s current state of mind.

She believes that those who tell stories have a responsibility not to exploit division or inflame anger, but to seek clarity and honesty Having grown up in a time when media credibility has eroded under partisanship and performance, Skylar works with one guiding idea: our words matter, and honest reporting and storytelling aren’t nostalgia, rather, it’s the only way forward.
